Rissington Inn
Situated just outside Hazyview in Mpumalanga lies Rissington Inn, a thatched homestead with long views over the Sabie River valley. The surrounding indigenous bush, with its spectacular birds & colourful trees, lends a special African feel. It is about 20 minutes from Phabeni Gate entrance to southern Kruger National Park.
Rissington Inn has a relaxed atmosphere, comfortable mid-range accommodation & fine food. It is frequently used for overnight stops on our tours to the Panorama Route or Kruger Park & the personal service suits our Company image. Walking or jogging around the property is permitted & may reveal sightings of antelope or monkeys & particularly resident birds. Guests are welcome to cool off in the pool or rest under the large shady Lowveld trees after which many rooms are named.
The 15 bedrooms at Rissington have individual
styles with en suite bathrooms, usually a Victorian
bath, a variety of toiletries, ceiling fans,
radios & magazines or travel books to read. The modern garden suites are very spacious & provide a relaxing view across the Sabie Valley.
The Rissington pub is a popular meeting place
after a day's sightseeing or game viewing. Meals
are served in the dining room or on the verandah
overlooking the pool. Dinners & breakfasts
are a la carte menu with the emphasis on local
produce from nearby farms, orchards or trout
streams. In the sitting room you may watch TV
, wildlife videos or play one of the many board
