• Return transport from Johannesburg to Kruger Park by 7 seater air-conditioned microbus. Collection or drop off at O. R. Tambo International Airport or Nelspruit Airports depends on timing & is on request from our Sales Consultant.
• Services of our specialist Kruger Park guide for 3 days.
• Entrance into Kruger Park & daily conservation fee.
• Total of 5 game drives usually by 9 seater open safari vehicle in Big 5 areas of Kruger Park.
• One evening drive in Kruger Park by larger National Parks open safari vehicle using spotlights to see nocturnal species.
• 1 night at Sabie River Bush Lodge with dinner in the Gecko Lapa restaurant. 1 night chalet accommodation at Skukuza (or similar) inside Kruger Park with dinner at Cattle Baron Bistro. Breakfast will be at a venue to suit the morning game drives.

PICK-UP:

In Johannesburg between 07h00 and 08h00 at O R Tambo Airport and hotels nearby recommended. Other areas such as Sandton or Rosebank on request. Please avoid Johannesburg City Centre, Lanseria Airport and Pretoria. Nelspruit Airport is from 12.00 - 12.30 or by arrangement.

DROP-OFF:

At O R Tambo International Airport or nearby hotels usually by 16.00. Please allow 1.5 hours connecting time for local flights or preferably 3.0 hours for International flights. Passengers staying at hotels in the northern suburbs are advised to use the Gautrain to Sandton or make arrangements for a transfer.

Chalet accommodation with air-con, insect screens, private shower & toilet. Triple share rooms can usually be arranged for families. Meals arranged by your guide in privatised Camp restaurants such as Cattle Baron, Mugg & Bean or Tindlovu.

Kruger Park Itinerary:

1st Day
Leave Johannesburg in an air-conditioned microbus with an experienced Kruger Park guide. Travel east across the Highveld farmlands and down the beautiful Elands Valley to Nelspruit - centre of our finest citrus farms. Continue to the entrance of Kruger Park with lunch stop en route . Spend the afternoon on your first exciting game drive looking for herds of elephant, giraffe and antelope. Before sunset exit Kruger Park & drive a short distance to Sabie River Bush Lodge. Book into an ensuite lodge room then relax on the deck overlooking the Sabie River. You often see elephants, hippo or crocs. Join your guide for dinner in the alfresco restaurant & overnight.

2nd Day
Awaken at dawn, leave the lodge & drive directly to Kruger Park entrance gate . Prepare your cameras for the early morning game drive to look for lions and other Big Five animals (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino & buffalo). Call into one of the Camps for breakfast then continue with the mid-morning drive stopping at waterpoints to see animals enjoying their morning drink or crocodiles lazing in the sun. By midday you can expect very hot weather & your guide will head for Skukuza Camp ( or similar ) Book into a chalet with air-con & screens to prevent insects then time for a swim or lunch. Later board the National Parks open safari vehicle for a sunset game drive & a chance to see hyenas or other nocturnal species with spotlights. Your guide will arrange dinner in the main restaurant & walk back to your chalet under the starlit sky.

3rd Day
After a quick coffee, pack up & depart from camp for an early morning game drive to search for elusive animals such as leopard often found in trees or rocky outcrops. For the birdwatchers, it's a wonderful opportunity to see many different species in the bushveld or near the water. Breakfast and time for final photo's then, leave the Park and enjoy a relaxing homeward journey via Schoeman's Kloof then up the escarpment to Johannesburg. Arrive back at OR Tambo International Airport or nearby hotels by 16.00. Please allow 1.5 hours connecting time for local flights or preferably 3.0 hours for International flights. Passengers staying at hotels in the northern suburbs are advised to use the Gautrain to Sandton, or make arrangements for a transfer.

General Information

• Refreshment / comfort stops will be planned every 2 - 3 hours during transfers. Please discuss the daily program with your guide.
• Duration of each game drive is 2.5 to 3.0 hours. This itinerary includes 5 drives.
• It is advisable to take precautions against malaria especially during the rainy season from October to May . We recommend insect repellent & protective clothing in the evenings.

• Bring sunglasses, a small hat, swimsuit, a camera, torch / flashlight, light casual clothes for daytime and a warmer clothes for night drives. Remember there will be a chill factor travelling in the open safari vehicle especially from June - August.
• A policy of "no smoking" and rotation of seats in the vehicle is recommended.
• Gratuities to driver/guide, waiters and porters is not included.
