Important information regarding entry into South Africa

Passport, visa and health requirements can vary according to your country of citizenship and your destination. It is your responsibility as a traveller to ensure you have the correct documents. Please check the requirements with the closest South African consulate or embassy. Failure to comply with visa and/or passport requirements may result in denied boarding. PASSPORTS:
please check that you have 2 empty pages in your passport for the SA authorities.Your passport should be should be valid for at least 30 days after you are due to leave South Africa.

FAMILIES:
Children under the age of 18 years ( minors ) travelling to South Africa accompanied by a guardian instead of their parents, may require additional documentation. Please check with your closest South African Embassy to avoid inconvenience with Immigration officials.

YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION:
Please take note that the South African authorities at airports or other points of entry, require overseas visitors coming from countries infected with yellow fever including South America & Central Africa, to have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate . This also applies to travellers who have been to these countries in transit – for example if you fly from USA via South America & on to South Africa. It is not possible to obtain a yellow fever vaccination on arrival in South Africa . The certificate should be dated at least 10 days prior to arrival here & is valid for 10 years. This is a serious warning & travellers will be refused entry to South Africa if they do not comply.
